Good day,
my name is Timm from the University of Vechta. I am planning an alpine hike to the summit of Psiloritis (Mount Ida) in Crete on July 6th, which at 2,456 meters is the highest point on the island.
The route starts in the mountain village of Anogia. The planned hiking distance is between 10 and 12 kilometers, with an elevation gain of about 1,000 meters to overcome.
The current weather conditions in Anogia are 24.1°C. However, it should be noted that temperatures at the summit of Psiloritis will be significantly lower, so appropriate equipment is required.
I have a rental car and offer rides for those interested.
If interested, please feel free to email me : timm.niesner@mail.uni-vechta.de
Cheers Timm
